In 2017, I was hired as a fabricator on Eli Roth’s “The House with a Clock in its Walls”. Tasked with designing and building (and ultimately puppeteering) a custom automaton, I created this character who was referred to as “Banjo Man”. Upon first viewing, Roth referred to him as “pure nightmare fuel” and liked the character so much that he gave it a hero death scene in the film.
